On Sunday, Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions defeated the Minnesota Vikings 34-23. In reward for Goff’s tremendous efforts, he was named the NFL’s Week 14 Fed Ex Air Player of the Week.
Why it matters: Many fans had high hopes for Goff and the Detroit Lions following HBO’s series Hardknocks. But unfortunately, they had a rough start to the season and many people fell off the bandwagon. Well, the Lions have made an amazing comeback since then and they are starting to be recognized for it nationally. Below are some of Goff’s stats.
During the Vikings game this past Sunday:
- Goff completed 27 of 39 passes (69.2%).
- He added 330 yards and three touchdowns.
So far this season Goff has:
- Completed 65.3% of all his passes for 3,352 yards.
- Scored 22 touchdowns.
- Had seven interceptions
