On Wednesday, Detroit Lions‘ Amon-Ra St. Brown told reporters that being spoken of as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL is “super humbling.” In addition, he goes on to say that he has to stay consistent.
“But for me, I just gotta keep working, keep being consistent.”
Amon-Ra St. Brown
Why it matters: St. Brown was off to a sluggish start to the season. The sluggishness didn’t last long and he soon catapulted himself into the higher ranks of NFL wide receivers.
Further, out of just 28 career games, St. Brown has:
- 11 touchdowns
- 166 catches for 1,742 yards
- In St. Brown’s last four games he gained:
- 37 catches for 431 yards
- Three touchdowns
Amon-Ra St. Brown: The Big Picture
St. Brown was a five-star recruit playing college football at the University of Southern California and was selected by the Detroit Lions as a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He finished his college career with 250 receptions for 3590 yards and 37 touchdowns. And in his NFL career St. Brown was awarded NFC Offensive Player of the Week for week two of the 2022 season. He also set an All-time Rookie receiving yards record for the Detroit Lions of 912 yards. Amon-Ra is certainly a player to watch in the upcoming years.
