Taylor Decker told reporters at Detroit Free Press that a lot of people owe him an apology after the Detroit Lions beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 40-14 this past Sunday. Decker said this game was “by far, our best game.”

Why it matters: Decker has been a vocal supporter of his teams’ rebuild and their changes toward success. As we all know people on Twitter are not always kind, especially towards any “Same old Lions” types of performances.
“I guess the positive would be we didn’t take a step back I don’t think. Ultimately, winning is the only thing that matters and I think the big thing is, we went out there and we played confidently. We can see a team that’s regarded as one of the best in the NFL (and) a Super Bowl contender. Truthfully, I didn’t feel like we were outmatched at all. I felt like we had the advantage in multiple phases,”
