Thanksgiving Halftime Show: Awful and Confusing

The Detroit Lions Thanksgiving halftime show at Ford Field featured Bebe Rexha, which wasn’t even visible from the crowd. This left Lions fans confused and booing the performance.

Why it matters: Typically Thanksgiving halftime show performances are featured on the field, positioned in a way that most fans can see. That was not the case for Bebe Rexha who performed on a tiny, corner stage with her back to the audience. Fans were confused when the music started playing looking around for where it might be coming from.

  • Rexha performed several of her hit songs including “Meant to Be” and her current hit “I’m Good” (Blue).
  • The crowd erupted in more boos at the end of the performance.
  • Last year, Big Sean played on this same stage but faced the crowd for his performance.
